car tuning class

Two years ago we custom ordered a GMC acadia which arrived a month after the birth of our second child. Our previous vehicles was a supercharged Buick Regal, which was a great car, but was getting a bit aged and wasn't quite big enough for all the baby gear.

After two years we still love the Acadia and would buy it again in a heartbeat. It's comfortable, roomy, has fold down seats for carrying a lot of cargo, seats 7-8, and has a lot of luxury features you can add on. We got the entertainment package with the DVD player and screen, which both kids really love. It's a wonderful way to keep them entertained on longer road trips, although they would use it for short ones, too if we let them. Two wireless headphones keep the sound in the back so the adults can hear something else.

It drives nicely, is tall enough to see over most cars, gets pretty decent gas mileage (24-29 highway depending on conditions, 16 in town), and looks sharp. If we're out shopping and want to buy something big we no longer have to go home and get a truck, we can do it right away. We even stuffed a new front door into it, 80 inches tall by 36" wide new in the box with all that packing foam and everything. It had to go in at an angle, but it worked. You can't do that in a small car. It was amazing and just confirmed how versatile that vehicle really is.

Would I change anything? Yes. The middle row of seats aren't quite as comfortable as the driver and front passenger seats and it would be nice if they could lean backwards.
